As we all know, kids have AMAZING ideas! A little girl named Alex, who was battling cancer, had one of those amazing ideas. Alexandra Scott was 4 when she came up with the idea to hold a lemonade stand to raise money for kids with cancer. Although Alex didn’t survive, her idea did! Since her original lemonade stand, over 60,000 lemonade stands have been held around the world to raise money for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and kids fighting cancer!
Each year Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation has “Lemonade Days” where they encourage people to hold their own lemonade stands across the country to raise money for children with cancer.
This year may look a bit different, so instead of the normal lemonade stands they are encouraging kids to put together a virtual or socially distant lemonade stand experience!
How can you help:
Lemonade Days is August 1-9, so now is the PERFECT time to get a stand going.
