How'd your kite turn out? We can't wait to see photos (and videos of you flying them!) so make sure to tag @bumpclubandbeyond and #campbeyond.
If you haven't already taken flight, it's important to pick a day that has at least a slight breeze (but not too windy). This will help with lift-off.
If you don't have a big open backyard then you'll want to take your kite to a big field, an empty beach or park. The goal is somewhere where there's not a ton of trees or structures in your way.
Stand with your back to the wind and hold the spool. Ask a parent or sibling to hold the kite a distance away from you. Once the wind picks up, they can release the kite into the air. Make sure you hold on tight to the spool!
Adjust the string length and move in different directions to see what works best.
To land your kite, reel in the string.
Take these instructions with you for a reminder of what to do. Good luck!
