Each week of Camp, we’re encouraging campers to take one minute, 60 seconds out of their week for a ‘Mindful Minute’. To make sure you can keep on going during the long days of summer, take a minute (or two if you like) every day to rest. We’ll provide you with a prompt and all you have to do is sit, close your eyes and concentrate on our prompt for one minute. Make sure you choose a quiet place to sit - maybe it’s next to a tree under its shade or on your bed with your pillows tucked behind you. Meditation can help with many things, including sleep, focus, creativity, and mood – so let’s take a look at our Welcome Week prompt.

This week, use your mindful minute to think about your favorite things about summer. Some of our personal favorites are warm weather, pool days, and catching fireflies! What are yours? If you want to go the extra mile, share your favorite things about summer with a friend, sibling, or parent and ask what their favorite things are about summer!
